I always wanted to write a book and thought I would start when I had time. Parenting, work, and everyday life never left time for me to pursue my dreams. I finally realized I would have to make time to write. All of those characters living inside my head showed no signs of leaving.
I started writing my first story and joined a local writers' group. Thanks to Romance Writers of America and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, I know more now than I did when I started chapter one in the spiral notebook.
My previous jobs (medical social worker, criminal statement transcriber, and funeral organist to name a few) give me plenty of inspiration for my stories. |
